COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Travel Operations course is 1 ½ year certificate programme, designed to train Travel and Tour Consultants with operational skills to work for Travel and Tours sectors in the Tourism industry. The course includes a 3 months industrial attachment. Students taking this course are prepared for the IATA Diploma Foundation Level examinations.

After completion of the course, the students can work in Tour Companies, Car- hire companies, lodges, attraction sites any other Tourism related organization.

 

Entry Requirements

KCSE Aggregate C- with a English C- and History/Geography D+ or any other equivalent qualification or KUC graduates of 6 months Travel Agency Techniques (TAT) course may apply provided they passed with Distinction or Credit.

This is a one- and - half year programme that prepares students to effectively work as Receptionists, Guest Relations officers, Reservation Agents, Cashiers and Night auditors. During training students undergo extensive practical training at both the college and its application hotel-Utalii Hotel. The course also includes a compulsory three months industrial attachment at the end of the course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is one and half years course programme that prepares students to effectively work in a hotel as Receptionist, Guest Relations Officers, Reservation officers, cashiers and Front Office Accounts Auditors. The students are equipped with knowledge in practical training at our adjacent Utalii Hotel before being attached for three months to various Hotels in Kenya.After successful completion of the industrial training the students graduate with a certificate in Front Office Course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a one and half year program covering all aspects of Food and beverage operations and Food and beverage supervisory skills. In addition to the theoretical learning, the course entails intensive practical training at the demonstration restaurant, application Utalii hotel, and three months in training in various Kenyan Hotels. There are three intakes in January, May and the main one in September every year. There are plans to introduce a one year certificate course and another one year Diploma course in Food and Beverage Service Supervision in future
