Sets of Application Forms are available from University of Nairobi, Main Campus, and Gandhi Wing Building Room G3 for a nonrefundable fee of Kshs.3,000/-. [Note: Non-Kenyans pay 25% more on all charges]. The application fees may be paid by Direct Deposit into the UNES/UON Account, Barclays Bank, Westlands Branch, A/C No: 03-073-1023948. Bankers’ cheques will also be accepted.

CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

NOTE:

Except for Hospitality Management lab fees, all other charges will apply for Travel and Tourism Management progamme.

Details on the cost of uniform for practical lessons will be communicated to successful applicants.

The programmes are non-residential and students will be expected to make their own accommodation arrangements.

Educational trips will be costed and charged separately.

Meals will be charged separately and are optional.

Aggregate: C-(Minus) in K.C.S.E. In addition, the indicated minimum grades in the following subjects; English C- and Mathematics/ Geography D+ or any other equivalent qualification or KUC graduates of 6 months Travel Agency Techniques (TAT) course may apply provided they passed with Distinction or Credit.

Kenya Utalii College in collaboration with The University of Nairobi offers two degree programmes. The programmes started in 2010 following approval by the then Commission for Higher Education and are also Senate approved.

 

Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management

It is a four year course designed with a view to blend theory with practical oriented courses so as to equip the graduate with tools to enable him/her to confidently manage hospitality establishments bearing the global trends in mind. Students are able to specialize in various areas when in third and fourth year. The course is not complete without six months in training which is done upon completion of coursework.

Graduates are able to work in Hotels, Universities Catering units, Clubs and Casinos, Cruise Ships and all other catering and hospitality institutions as departmental managers rising to the ranks of general managers. The programme is entrepreneurial based and graduates can establish and manage their own micro, small and medium hospitality based enterprises.

 

Bachelor of Arts in Travel and Tourism Management

It is a four year course designed with a view to blend theory with practical oriented courses in areas of ticketing and reservation systems so as to equip the graduate with tools to enable him/her to confidently manage tours and travel establishments bearing the global trends in mind. Students are able to specialize in various areas when in third and fourth year. The course is not complete without six months in training which is done upon completion of coursework.

Graduates are able to work in tours and travel firms, Airlines as departmental managers rising to the ranks of general managers. The programme is entrepreneurial based and graduates can establish and manage their own micro, small and medium tours and travel based enterprises.
